Brendan requested at =
the
meeting money for PE equipment.
This is due to the school offering more after school activities and =
also
some of the current PE equipment needs repairing/replacing. Brendan would like £1400 whi=
ch
would go towards new football goals and a football kit, badminton posts and
nets, two gymnastics safety mats and a gym trolley. Brendan’s request was approv=
ed at
the meeting, the money raised from the this year’s Christmas Fair and=
the
forthcoming Ferret Night would be put towards this.

copies of the accounts and talked them through. The accounts do need auditing and =
Leo
Donovan has offered to do this.

was suggested that on the Treasurers Report it could be listed what the mon=

in the account was going to be spent on.
Playground Develop=
ment
Update
Anne O’Connor u=
pdated
the meeting on the progress of the Playground Development. The trim trail has now been underl=
aid
with a ‘grass saver’ so the children will be able to use this
equipment all year round. The
tunnels have been taken out of the Playground and will be replaced with
bridges, which will be delivered early November. Other new equipment : picnic house=
s, a
pavilion, a covered sandpit and vertical games will be arriving Mid-End
October. There will also be n=
ew
basketball nets and an outdoor table tennis table. In all a total of £16,000 ha=
s been
spent.

Tennis Court Refur=
bishment
As part of the ongoing
Playground Development project it was previously discussed that the PTA and=
the
school would like to refurbish the tennis courts. Graham Tucker passed round leaflet=
s from
the Lawn Tennis Association detailing the ‘Kids Zone’ project, =
which
is a coloured tennis court specifically designed for children. Graham is looking for sponsorship =
up to
£3,500 from local companies and he will update at the next meeting.
Buy.at Website
Andrew Dickson gave a=
n update
of the fund raising website which he has been looking into and which has now
been set up www.buy.at=
/holyfamilypta Through the website you can enter =
other
retailer websites, e.g. BT, John Lewis, Early Learning Centre, M&S and =
for
any goods which you purchase the school will receive a % of the cost. Peter Kehoe offered to print up le=
aflets
to go into book bags on Friday 29th September advertising this n=
ew
site. Details will also go in=
to the
newsletter and posters put up around school. It was suggested that we do a roun=
d of
flyers into book bags in a months time so people are able to use the site f=
or
Christmas purchases.
TLC/DIY Weekend
It was agreed that th=
e next
TLC/DIY day will be Saturday 14th October, 9.30am - 3.30pm,
breakfast and lunch provided.
Volunteers are required to help out in The Dell - laying chipped bar=
k,
painting the stage/ seats, pruning back and planting winter flowers. Also to help with clearing the con=
tainer
in preparation for the Shoebox appeal and forthcoming Fetes. Graham Tucker will advertise aroun=
d the
school.

meeting that
the theme this year will be ‘Wild West’. A logo is now needed for all
paperwork/flyers etc. The con=

will be cleared on Saturday 14th October.
